The Cameroon Development Corporation is an Agro-Industrial Complex that grows, processes and markets tropical export crops.It operates in Cameroon in the Central African sub-region. It's operations management is directed by a General Manager and governed by a Board of Directors also headed by a Chairman.BANANA:The Banana sector is being managed in partnership with a foreign partner, Del Monte at Tiko and exclusively by CDC at Ekona. The mission is to grow and market Banana as an export produce. There are two main plantations at Ekona and Tiko.All the plantations are fully irrigated during the dry period of the year. Fruit from the fields are moved to the packing stations on cable-way which is a technology unique to the CDC among the banana producing companies in Cameroon.pricing:The palm oil is marketed by several methods. The refined oil is sold to commercial dealers directly from the storage tank in either Idenau, Bota or Mondoni. The prices in this case are negotiable depending on the quality and quantity and range from 400 FCFA / Kg. (i.e. $0.8 / Kg or 0.61 / Kg)The top quality oil is bottled in 20 litres, 5 liters and 1 llitre transparent plastic containers.
